Meet the Jive! Crew
Sometimes you need to assemble just the right group of talented, colorful personalities to add that final touch of culture to a brand. At Jive! we’ve done just that – with a team as interesting as they are skilled. Get to know us!
Bryan is the closest to a native "country boy" we‘ve got, but that’s pretty legit! He grew up in Hohenwald, TN (where the Elephant Sanctuary is) and is a proud pet-pop of two miniature schnauzers - Baxter and Toby. If there‘s a Preds game coming up, you’ll know it - as he‘s our resident frontline fan ambassador. He appreciates Dave Matthews Band, Mumford & Sons and 90’s tunes the most when they come up in our lobby video playlist. Offer him some country cookin’, like his favorite - brown beans, cornbread, boiled eggs, fried bologna and turnip greens - and he may stay a while. Bryan is currently making his way through the bourbon trail in his free time, to wash it all down. When asked for his advice on good customer service, he keeps it simple: "I do what I would expect others to do for me."
Come enjoy some insight on just how to craft the ideal printed piece. Donna has likely contributed to more successful marriages, baby showers, and business meetings through her project consultations than we can count. Her roots in print go back to pre-digital processes and her notions on look and feel are always appreciated. It’s no surprise she’s so thoughtful on life’s little print jobs. Donna’s extended pet family is a big-hearted menagerie that showcases her charming, nurturing spirit.
Hailing from South Carolina originally, Chad has called Nashvegas home for over twenty years. With his education in Graphic Communication from MTSU and recent Web Design training, Chad is our guy for making things play well on the page and the screen. He comes complete with over fifteen years of print design experience, and serves as a regular inspiration around the office for psychical fitness. (He may or may not have a borderline obsessive relationship with his FitBit...)
An avid dart thrower, usually seen in the wild at Edgefield Bar and Grill, owner of an extensive Simpsons action figure collection - "They’re NOT dolls!" - and proud Nintendo fanboy, this Mario Kart Pro brings a talent and personality as vivid as the pages of the Graphic Novels which capture his admiring gaze.
A Nashville native, David has enjoyed serving Nashville‘s creative industry for many years. His typical day consists of helping Jive’s customers through business development as well managing Jive‘s marketing and social media. He’s an avid audio-video gear fanatic with an extensive movie collection which he is happy to showcase in his surround-sound 4k home theater. His weekends are spent canoeing Tennessee‘s many rivers or hiking up, over and around the state’s countless wilderness trails. David has one teenage son, and one beautiful yellow lab.
You will find Jonathan Annis greeting you at the inside entrance to our office, on the phone, or zipping about in the Legendary “JiveMobile” Mini Cooper, bringing a smile to the face of our print customers. With him on our team, we can put his blended background of hospitality, art gallery, family services, personal shopping, and merchandising experience to work in way that helps insure all the little details of our expert services fall into place just right. Ask him for the inside celebrity scoop on Nashville’s high-end hotels.
Ask Tony Brazier about walking the line between design and production or between business owner and manager. He’s got an iron in all of those fires! His experience spans a variety of print mediums and he leads our production team on our onsite printing, finishing and project management operations. Like most of our crew, he’s a designer as well.
Tony is a parent of two teenagers and two soon-to-be, as well as owner of a busy beauty salon in addition to his management role here at Jive! - so he knows a few things about patience and juggling the variables that can come into play when producing the best results, with accuracy, right on time. Occasionally we catch him looking a little stressed out about loaning one of the kids the keys to a Mustang or Corvette from his lineup of hobby muscle cars.
Part photographer, part roadie, part viking. John Gibbons is the heavy-lifter of our production department all day and occasionally well into the night. Sometimes a press will just run like clockwork. Other times, they need experienced craftsmanship for those unique jobs. Gibby is the guru on all the mechanical and operational necessities of the printworks. With an eye for good design and artistic background in photography, he helps us reinforce our quality-control superiority throughout the process. He’s our neighborhood man, as well, residing in the Gulch district since before it was cool.
If you could find a guy that’s into classic rock and comic books who is always ready to lend a hand to get the job done right, you’d want him rockin’ and rollin’ on client print production, right? That’s what we thought, too. Jim Tomlinson takes the ever-growing list of incoming print jobs from digital images to tangible print all day long. Find him by following the sound of a humming press and the stacking of paper.
Kelley James is our bookkeeper and unofficial office mom. Her calm and organized approach to her work helps us to herd all the creative cats in our midst through payroll, vacation, and more. From her office, adorned with various artistic impressions of the macabre, she’s keeping the bills paid and accounts maintained while we crank out the prints. She can give you all the latest updates to your billing statement, or tell you all about her grand-baby. Both are of great importance to her, of course!
Jive! was the brainchild of Rick Ryan. Though we kid him about his impeccable tastes, he’s been lighting the way to providing Nashville with more than just the typical bland print experience for quite a while now. When he’s not making sure our team is tuned into doing great work for clients or displaying his odd passion for scrubbing client’s mailing lists, you’ll usually find him discovering the hippest of food, drink, and experiences in Music City and or some other corner of the world.
